IBC Children's Ministry

"And whoever welcomes a little child like this in my name welcomes me.”
Matthew 18:5

General

The Children's Church Sunday activities are divided into 3 groups.

Babies and small children attend the crèche under the guidance of parents and teen helpers who take care of the small children and babies during church service to give the parents the opportunity to enjoy fellowship in church (more information on crèche page).

Children's church is divided into 2 age groups so that we can assist and teach at the level appropriate to the child’s development.

· Junior Children's Church (3 to 7 years)

· Senior Children's Church (7 to 12 years, provided that the children can read and write)

Children's Church

Both groups of children follow the same syllabus, provided by CEF (Child Evangelism Fellowship Inc.).

The syllabus comprises a 5-year program. Central New Testament events (birth of Jesus, crucifixion, resurrection) are adressed yearly.

All lesson materials are provided in English.

Lessons are taught in both English and Dutch if needed.

Bible Camps

The children at IBC are encouraged to attend the Christian Bible Summer Camp (Good News Bible Camp) and IKEG weekend camps.

Outreach program

Each year before Christmas, the IBC congregation donates toys, stationary, toiletries, etc. The children are then encouraged to bring a friend to the outreach day to help fill gift boxes for underprivileged children. Spreading goodwill through a box is a global outreach project (Samaritan's Purse) and it is a joy to be able to help.
